Since mid-March Nusayba has been patiently waiting for April 13th, the day she starts swimming lessons! I decided to create a calendar and clearly label 09/13 so that she would understand that it was some time to come. Alhamdulillah, the calendar wasn't a bad idea after all. I think she'll eventually understand the concept of months, the days in the week and that numbers go beyond 10:) Oh, the calendar also helped us keep track of the weather!

alhamdulillah, she was a lot braver than I thought she would be. They even ducked her face under water twice (after asking her to make a "bubble face") and she didn't cry or panic!

so nice!!! i've been thinking about it for sumayya but have been afraid that shifaa would throw a fit for not being able to go in. are these with other kids or private? any issues with kids/adults being dressed inappropriately? like how did nusayba take it? :)
it's public actually fatima.there's a ration of 4:1 per class. how old is shifaa now? asmaa's supposed to be going with her father for "water babies" since she's under 3 and needs an adult in the water with her, but it may be different in your area and you may find something for her too?! in terms of dress, i think nusayba was too excited to notice:) alhamdulillah, the instructor's in the water b4 we get there and her top part is covered so nusayba doesn't notice! :)

I always check on your blog to see the latest :) and susu and I enjoy it very much (especially the videos, she wants to watch them over and over again) inshaAllah I wanna get my blog back up and running again. and about abdurrahman, i just savor every precious moment i have with him (alone!) that i don't think to look for the camera and tape him--i know i'm gonna regret it as he's such a talker, more than both his sisters when they were his age. anyways, i'm gonna upload a video i took of him last month!--just for you:)
and maha, the plan is to edit abdurrahman's feet in that photo--i hope i get to it one day:) but i'm happy you guys liked it!
